Hi all,
This is my first Post, and I am hopeful that I write atleast once a week.
When alighting from or preparing to board a flight these days, it is common to encounter flat escalators at airports, facilitating easy commuting. Commuters can broadly be classified into three categories:
Non-users: These individuals prefer to walk alongside the escalator, believing that relying on it will discourage people from walking altogether, and people will forget how to walk.
Standstill users: They choose to use the escalator but remain stationary, embracing a leisurely approach to life. They trust that the escalator will transport them to their destination effortlessly.
Walking users: These individuals opt to use the escalator and actively walk on it, striving to reach their destination swiftly.
It's not difficult to guess who will reach their destination the fastest.
Since the emergence of Chat-GPT, extensive debates have arisen regarding its impact on humanity. Will it enhance or diminish our intellectual capabilities? Will we be the ones controlling it, or will it exert control over us?
There is no definitive answer, as perspectives on this matter vary depending on the type of person you are when faced with the escalator scenario.
Non-users, often self-proclaimed "purists," reject the use of any technology. They argue that walking is an art form and that technology lacks artistic abilities.
Standstill users find themselves in a gray area. They willingly embrace AI but do not actively engage with its potential. They believe that technology alone will guide them to their destination, becoming entirely dependent on it.
Walking users, on the other hand, make the most of both human creativity and technological potential. They leverage the benefits of AI while adding their unique touch. The world becomes reliant on their abilities.
Once again, it's easy to guess who will come out as the winner.
As the saying goes, AI won't take your job; rather, someone utilizing AI will do so. The question is, are you prepared?
